SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture, in particular to vegetable growing, and can find application in foliar treatment of cucumbers in open and protected ground conditions. Method includes foliar treatment of plants in phases of first 4–5 leaves and budding — flowering using a binary composition preparation containing cresacin and hydrothermal nanosilica, at fixed consumption by weight of dry components of 15 g/ha and volumetric consumption of aqueous working solutions of preparation of 300 l/ha. Compositions with weight content of cresacin and hydrothermal nanosilica are used in range of 5.0–95.0 % and 95.0–5.0 %, respectively, with respect to the total content of components.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to expand possibilities of application, to increase crop capacity, to improve quality of fruits and to increase their ecological compatibility for nutrition.
