FIELD: corrosion protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of preventing metal corrosion by cathodic protection, in particular to the structural elements of underwater cathodic protection devices, and can be used in corrosion protection of hydraulic structures, such as offshore platforms, ports. The method includes installing underwater anodes in float modules, fixing the position of float modules in a device for cathodic protection of an underwater object, placing a device for cathodic protection of an underwater object under water, bringing float modules with anodes placed in them into the floating state, while after installing anodes in float modules, float modules are placed on a frame attached to the platform, float modules are fixed by covering them with metal wire, the anodes with cables are connected to the cathodic protection station, the platform is installed on the bottom of the reservoir, the cathodic protection station is turned on, the metal wire is destroyed by applying an electric voltage to the anodes.
EFFECT: simplifying the process of installing underwater anodes for electrochemical protection of underwater objects.
