FIELD: transportation; hydraulic structures.

SUBSTANCE: proposed underwater café has an air pressurised compartment to provide for centre lift of the whole structure above its centre of gravity, buoyancy regulation compartment, ballast compartment with or without a separate cargo unit for limiting immersion depth, with or without a detachable load in case of an emergency, air duct, hemispherical float, water pumps for vertical displacement, water jet engines for horizontal movement, and control and communication apparatus. The café has a staircase from the upper deck, with an entrance-exit hatch, air-lock chamber, balcony, various equipment, including an air conditioner with an air duct of up to 14 m long, with a waterproof cap, on top of which there is a beacon light, television and mobile communications antennae of the GPS/GLONASS systems. Calculation of buoyancy of the object, negative buoyancy of the ballast compartment, volume and mass of, for example, fibre-glass plastic and reinforced concrete are done using a universal formula for determining buoyancy of a body in accordance with Archimedes law.

EFFECT: possibility of constructing a self-powered underwater café, execute its vertical and horizontal movement with a set of life support devices for staying on board the self-powered underwater café.
