SUBSTANCE: invention relates to steering column. Steering column is equipped with a device of the reverse mechanism located on the roller of the steering column, which is installed in bushings with plain bearings and fixed by locking rings with washers. Bushings are welded to bracket connected to steering column housing. Device consists of two levers freely installed on the roller. One more lever, which is connected to the turning mechanism, is rigidly installed on the same roller. Inside the roller there is a rod with balls, which is connected to the selector through a coupling, a fork and a roller. Rod with balls together act as a locking mechanism, and the selector is responsible for engaging the forward or reverse motion of the machine.
