SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the steering column of a tracked vehicle. The steering column contains mounting brackets, a housing, a reverse and lock mechanism, a cardan joint, bushings, a sleeve, a selector with a handle, a shaft, and a steering wheel. Bushing 11 is installed in the housing with the help of a bearing, the bushing is connected by splines to the shaft 10, mounted with the possibility of movement relative to it, and connected by levers to the reverse and lock mechanism, which is installed in the brackets for mounting the steering column in the tracked vehicle. The reversing and locking mechanism is also connected through a cardan joint to a shaft 3 fixed on the housing, which is connected by splines to a movable shaft 5 connected to the selector handle. The movable part consists of a sleeve mounted with the possibility of moving along their mating cylindrical surfaces relative to the housing, on which the selector is fixed on top, and inside there is a shaft 10 installed on one side in a sleeve 4, and on the other - in the bearing, on which the steering wheel is mounted. The steering column is equipped with a locking device consisting of a thrust screw and a wedge with a wing, which is installed with its groove in a plate attached to the sleeve, the wedge has a surface in contact with the surface of the sleeve. The stop screw holds the sleeve having the screw slot in a certain position when it is in the unlocked position for adjustment.
