FIELD: transportation; ensuring safety.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed device relates to means of increasing safety of railway transport, in particular to devices for stopping a train when a wheel pair derails. Proposed device comprises mounting unit 1 secured at car buffer bar, in which lever 2, disc 3 and emergency braking valve 4 are placed. On the upper flange of mounting unit 1 there is chamber 5 with an elastically fixed weight 6. Rod 7 is attached to weight 6 from below, is adjustable in length and serves for contact with lever 2. Disc 3 is rigidly fixed on axis 8 of turns and is equipped with spring 9 connected to mounting block 1. On disk 3 there is a stop made in the form of a recess for interaction with lever 2. To the lower flange of mounting unit 1 valve 4 body 10 is attached. In housing 10 there is branch pipe 11 of the brake line and holes 12 for air outlet to atmosphere. Valve 4 has shank 13 with a horizontal slot, in which pin 14 of disc 3 is placed, and valve 15 for shutting off the flow section of branch pipe 11 of the brake line. Lever 2 is made L-shaped, double-arm and spring-loaded relative to disc 3 by spring 16. Device includes bearings arranged on ends of arms of lever 2. One of the bearings is used for contact with rod 7, and the other one for contact with the recess on disc 3. Axis 17 of turns of lever 2 is installed in bearing assembly. Device has adjustable rod 18 attached from above to load 6. Rod 18 is adjusted in length by nut 19 and by means of upper limiter 20 and lower limiter 21 installed on flange 22 of chamber 5, rests on pre-loaded spring 23.
