FIELD: measurement; test.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to test and measurement equipment. Combined method of detecting vibrations of a cylindrical shell involves applying marks on the shell, optically recording its image before and after shock-wave loading and analysing the obtained images. Vibrations of the shell are also recorded by means of induction sensors containing field-sensing and field-generating devices. Signal for starting the optical recorder is generated when a total signal exceeding a given signal level arrives from the field-sensing devices. Images of marks whose cell size occupies an area on the image of at least 4 pixels are recorded at discrete moments in time relative to the trigger signal. Images are analysed together with analysis of signals of induction sensors. Change in direction and amplitude of displacement of elements of the surface of the shell is determined by cross-correlation analysis of pairs of images of marks obtained at different moments in time.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and reliability of information.
