FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a group of inventions: an adhesive composition based on polyethylene, a method of producing an adhesive composition, use of an adhesive composition and a pipe. This composition contains: A) from 50 to 80 wt. % of linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) obtained on catalytic systems Ziegler-Natta, having density from 0.915 to 0.925 g/cm3 and melt flow index (MFR190/2.16) in range from 2.5 to 8.0 g/10 min; B) from 15 to 30 wt. % high-density polyethylene (HDPE) grafted with a functional monomer, having a density of not less than 0.955 g/cm3 and a melt flow index (MFR190/2.16) in range of 1.5 to 2.5 g/10 min; and C) from 5 to 20 wt. % of elastomer. This method involves mixing the components taken in amounts relative to the total weight, and subsequent compounding of the obtained mixture in the melt. Polyethylene-based adhesive composition is used as an adhesive layer in multilayer coatings.
EFFECT: development of an adhesive composition based on polyethylene, which retains high adhesion strength in an aqueous environment for a long period of time, as well as resistance of the adhesive joint to cathode peeling; simple method of producing the composition by performing it in one step.
