FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a surgical robotic system and a method for controlling tolerance of a surgical instrument used in a surgical robotic system. Surgical robotic system is made with a manipulator for moving a surgical instrument, with a control unit for controlling a manipulator and a reading and writing device for reading and writing memory data of the surgical instrument. Reading and recording device is configured so that, taking into account the connection of the surgical instrument with the robotic system, read from the data memory the first data with the first information on the surgical instrument and transmit them to control unit. Data memory of the surgical instrument comprises second data with information on at least one criterion of compatibility of the surgical robotic system with respect to the surgical instrument. Reading and recording device is designed so that, taking into account the connection of the surgical instrument with the robotic system, read from the data memory at least the first data and transmit them to control unit. Control unit is configured so as to check whether the surgical instrument is suitable for use in a surgical robotic system using the first information contained in the first data. Reading and writing device reads second data from data memory and transmits them to control unit, if the control unit has established, when checking, the suitability of the surgical instrument for use in a surgical robotic system. Control unit is designed so that, based on the second information contained in the second data, it is checked whether at least one compatibility criterion corresponds to at least one compatibility condition previously stored in the control unit. Control unit enables the surgical instrument to be used by the surgical robotic system only if the compatibility criterion corresponds to at least one previously stored compatibility condition.
EFFECT: possibility of excluding unauthorized use of a surgical instrument, including unintentional repeated use of such an instrument.
