FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining industry and is used in underground mining of steep dipping ore bodies with unstable valuable ores, for example kimberlite pipes. Method includes formation of artificial massif, descending extraction of deposits under it by mined chambers in staggered order with shift to sublevel and giving them in the cross section the form of a vertically elongated hexagon with equal in the vertical section upper and lower faces, using the fans of the descending drilling and blasting wells, drilled from pre-drilled workings in the upper part of each developed chamber. In each fan of descending drilling-and-blasting wells at least two vertical descending drill-and-blasting wells are drilled, on the walls of which at design levels of soil there performed is cutting of transverse cavities with a sharp edge on its periphery to design depth of cutting, not more than the radius of the descending drilling and blasting well.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of formation of design soil profile of mined chambers by means of preliminary directed local softening of ore massif.
