The method for firing marking cartridges includes the use of cartridges with safety projectile equipment completely installed inside the cartridge case, containing a capsule with a coloring agent made in the form of a cap with a weakened head part made of a polymer material and a plug installed in a tray made of an elastic material, shot production. The method includes movement of safe throwable equipment along the bore of a weapon under the action of powder gases, protection of a capsule with a coloring agent from the effects of powder gases, obturation of powder gases, protection of a capsule with a coloring matter from interaction with the barrel bore, and departure of safety-safe thrown equipment from the bore with the required initial speed. When fired, the projectile equipment is moved through a circular section, the minimum diameter of which is less than the outer diameter of the capsule with the dye. After that, the capsule with the colorant is acted upon with a radial force exceeding the strength of the capsule, and the capsule with the colorant is opened until the missile equipment leaves the barrel bore. A marking cartridge is also disclosed, which implements a method for firing marking cartridges.

EFFECT: increasing the reliability of the shooting results due to the controlled opening of the capsule with the coloring matter.
