FIELD: weaponry.
SUBSTANCE: conversion methods include incomplete disassembly of the weapon, making irreversible changes to the design of the weapon to enable firing with markers of the appropriate caliber, and reassembling the weapon. Various embodiments of the method provide for the conversion of military, service and civilian weapons into weapons for firing with marking cartridges, regardless of the ratio of the dimensions of the chamber and the bore of the converted weapon and weapons for firing with marking cartridges. Conversion of the weapon is performed with or without removing the barrel from the weapon. The converted weapon meets the requirements for non-convertibility of weapons and the requirements for accounting and storage of weapons.
EFFECT: irreversible changes in the design of the weapon.
