FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for production of flexible and semi-rigid packages for food industry and medical products. Polypropylene composition for making an article contains at least 95.0 wt. % of a propylene terpolymer. Propylene terpolymer contains 0.5 to 3.0 wt. % comonomer units derived from ethylene and 5.5 to 15.0 wt. % comonomer units derived from C4-C10 α-olefin. Propylene terpolymer has undergone viscosity breaking and has a melt flow rate MFRfinal (230 °C, 2.16 kg ISO1133) in range of 1.5 to 15.0 g/10 min. Also disclosed is a method of producing a polypropylene composition, use thereof, an article and use of an article.
EFFECT: invention provides a combination of low temperature of the beginning of welding with high strength of the welded joint in a hot state and good optical properties of articles from the polypropylene composition.
