FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a random copolymer of propylene, to a process for its preparation, as well as to a film or film layer obtained from said copolymer. Copolymer of propylene (R-PP) and ethylene has a MFR2 melt flow rate (230 °C) from 0.8 to 25.0 g/10 min, the Tm melting point from 128 to 138 °C. Copolymer contains ethylene from 5.3 to 9.0 % by weight, the content of the fraction soluble in cold xylene (XCS), in the range from 9.0 to 18.0 % by weight and the relative content of the isolated sequences of ethylene (I(E)) with respect to block sequences ranging from 45.0 to 69.0 %.
EFFECT: propylene copolymer (R-PP) provides a film material obtained therefrom with a combination of a low seal initiation temperature (SIT) and unexpectedly high strength of the hot seam, and also exhibits good optical properties.
