FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of non-ferrous metallurgy, in particular to alloys based on copper with zinc and lead, and can be used for the manufacture of round, square or hexagonal bars supplied in straight sections, specially designed for processing on automatic machines and intended for the manufacture of parts, which are components of sanitary products. Brass alloy for the manufacture of bars contains, wt.%: copper 56 - 58, lead 1.5 - 2.41, iron 0.01 - 0.45, nickel 0.04 - 0.43, tin 0.03 - 0.42, silicon 0.02 - 0, 26, aluminum 0.022 - 0.41, manganese 0.02 - 0.40, antimony 0.003 - 0.03, bismuth ≤ 0.003, unavoidable impurities ≤ 1.5, zinc - the rest.
EFFECT: increasing the machinability of brass alloys with high strength properties.
