FIELD: railway platforms.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for transporting timber on railway platforms. The method for arranging cylindrical timber on railway platforms includes stacking timber along the platform into a loading opening formed by at least pairs of its side posts and transversely tightening the stacks with flexible fasteners. The lower part of the timber stack is formed with a rectangular cross section, and the upper part is trapezoidal with two side and at least one middle wire tie. Linkage is performed with a diameter of 6 mm in 2 threads. Laying of the middle tie is carried out before laying at least the top row of the lower part of the stack. The upper row of the lower part of the stack is laid on top of the medium tying threads. Side lashings are laid on top of the upper row of the lower part of the stack with an indent from its ends within 1 m, but not less than 300 mm. The laying of the trapezoidal part of the stack is carried out over the threads of the side ties. Further, the ends of the ties are twisted and intertwined with each other with tension and a snug fit of the tie threads to the mating logs, with fixation to the stack logs.
EFFECT: increased reliability of cargo fixation.
