SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to well drilling tools. Cutting tool comprises a body having a longitudinal axis; a blade connected to the housing and extending radially from the housing; front pad is connected with blade front surface and made of material different from that of blade. Face plate and blade together form multiple slots for cutting element partially in face plate and partially in blade. Each groove for cutting element from multiple grooves for cutting element comprises side wall and base. Side wall is formed by a blade. Base is formed inside the blade. Cutting element is located in the first slot for cutting element from multiple slots for cutting element. Cutting element is soldered to the blade and to the face plate of the first slot for the cutting element. Downhole tool comprises a rotating body, a blade and a cutting tool. Disclosed is a method of making a downhole tool.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of drilling and increased service life and maintainability of the cutting tool.
