FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: closed container for storage of ammonium nitrate (AN) particles with improved anti-caking properties contains AN particles in amount of 91 to 99.75 wt. % and a desiccant in amount of 0.25 to 9 wt. %, wherein: AN particles have a water content of 0 to 0.7 wt. %; and the drying agent consists of particles containing from 50 to 95 wt. % of AN and from 5 to 50 wt. % of magnesium nitrate dispersed in AN. A method of storing ammonium nitrate (AN) particles with improved anti-caking properties, the method comprising the following steps: obtaining AN particles having a water content of 0 to 0.7 wt. %; obtaining a desiccant consisting of particles containing from 50 to 95 wt. % of AN and from 5 to 50 wt. % of magnesium nitrate dispersed in AN; filling container with material, containing from 0.25 to 9 wt. % of desiccant and from 91 to 99.75 wt. % of AN particles; and closing the container.
EFFECT: inventions make it possible to maximize the drying effect of magnesium nitrate and to minimize sticking of AN particles.
