FIELD: agriculture; chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: conditioning agent for reducing dust formation of fertilizer in the form of particles in a physical mixture contains from 51 wt.% to 60 wt.% of wax, from 30 wt.% to 39 wt.% of oil, from 1 wt.% to 15 wt.% of resin soluble in oil and miscible with wax and oil, and optionally from 0.01 wt.% to 2.0 wt.% of viscoelastic elastomer soluble in oil. Fertilizer composition in form of particles contains a substrate in form of particles and 0.05–2.0 wt.%, particularly 0.1–1.0 wt.%, of a coating containing a conditioning agent. Method of producing a fertilizer composition in form of particles involves a step of applying a conditioning agent to a substrate in form of particles. Method of preparing a conditioning agent containing wax, oil, resin and optionally a viscoelastic elastomer includes steps of optionally dissolving a viscoelastic elastomer in a part of the wax and mixing the oil, resin, wax and optionally wax containing viscoelastic elastomer obtained at the first stage. Use of the conditioning agent to coat a substrate in form of particles, particularly a fertilizer substrate in form of particles.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a conditioning agent which provides good protection from moisture absorption and dust formation, and is more resistant to abrasion.
