SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to agriculture. Granular compositions of urea and nitrogen stabilizer contain: a) urea; b) a nitrogen stabilizer containing N-(n-butyl)thiophosphoric triamide (NBPT) with a purity ranging from 90 to 99 %, the nitrogen stabilizer is present in a concentration of from about 0.02 wt. % to 1 wt. % composition; and c) a carrier system in a concentration of from about 0.02 wt. % to 1.5 wt. % of the composition, wherein said nitrogen stabilizer and said carrier system are distributed substantially homogeneously.

EFFECT: inventions make it possible to increase the effectiveness of these compositions with regard to their ability to stimulate plant growth by reducing nitrogen loss and increasing the amount of available nitrogen per pound of fertilizer.
