FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Barrage of an optic disc is carried out using coagulating lasers with wavelength 532–810 nm, spot diameter 200 mcm, pulse duration 0.1 s, radiation power 170 mWt. Coagulants are applied from the nasal side in 3–4 rows in the form of a horseshoe open to an optic disc at a distance of one coagulant diameter from each other. With obligatory presence of drug-induced mydriasis, which is achieved by three installations of 1 % solution of mydriacil. Second stage involves a transpupillary optic disc thermal therapy using a diode laser with wavelength of 810 nm, power of 400 mW, exposure of 60 seconds, spot diameter of 1.0 mm, with a time interval between laser treatment methods of 5 to 14 days.
EFFECT: method allows improving visual acuity of patients, reducing length of treatment.
