METHOD OF DIFFERENTIATED APPROACH TO SURGICAL TREATMENT OF CHRONIC FORM OF CENTRAL SEROUS CHORIORETINOPATHY Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61F9/07 A61F9/08

Abstract RU 2823160 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Laser treatment of chorioretinal pathology is carried out using a pathogenetically directed approach to treating patients with chronic central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC) depending on the area of retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) damage according to autofluorescence data: in cases of extensive and diffuse RPE affections, reaching 1 diameter of optic disc and more. Patients undergo a combination treatment: combination of subthreshold micropulse exposure using laser with wavelength 577 nm on areas of RPE decompensation and retinal neuroepithelium detachment and a single-step transpupillary thermotherapy of the optic disc and peripapillary retina using a laser with wavelength of 810 nm. In case of RPE injuries of less than 1 diameter of optic nerve disc, isolated subthreshold micropulse exposure is performed with the help of laser at wave length 577 nm on areas of RPE decompensation and retinal neuroepithelium detachment.

EFFECT: method allows to eliminate pathogenetic mechanism of development of chronic form of central serous chorioretinopathy, stimulating effect on RP, resorption of retinal neuroepithelium detachment and RPE, restore normal anatomical and topographic relationships of structures of posterior segment of eye, prevention of progression of atrophic changes of neuroepithelium and RP of central retina and development of choroidal neovascularization.
