FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for pumping cryogenic liquids, in particular, liquefied natural gas (LNG). Compressed natural gas (NG) and LNG are transported via two pipelines located in the immediate vicinity. An axial vane machine (AVM) is used as a pumping unit for transporting LNG. LNG is used to drive the AVM into motion, directed into the turbine impeller secured on the peripheral part of the pump impeller of the AVM. The gas from the outlet of the turbine impeller is directed to the outlet of the impeller of the AVM to be liquefied in the LNG flow, and the gas liquefaction completion area is determined in the flow. For this purpose, the degree of unevenness of the temperature of the liquefied gas flow in the cross section thereof located downstream of the pumping unit is monitored. Liquefied gas is collected in the gas liquefaction completion area, and the collected liquefied gas is regasified and directed to the first pipeline.
EFFECT: reduction in the loss of natural gas during transportation of LNG via the pipeline.
