SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining and can be used in the development of reservoir deposits of minerals, primarily represented by very thin, thin and medium thickness layers occurring at a shallow depth, as well as having access to the surface. The development method includes the opening of the deposit, the placement of process equipment in the workings, the subsequent excavation by augers and the transportation of rock mass, including along local and main lines of continuous trackless transport. The opening is carried out by capital trenches, passed along the dip of the formation, dividing the deposit into pillars. Capital trenches pass with the deepening of their soles relative to the lying side of the formation. Auger rigs are placed in capital trenches. The destruction of the rock, in addition to mechanical, is carried out by water, which is fed to the bottom through the augers and crowns of the auger rigs. The auger rig includes a auger machine with a gearbox spindle, a drilling string consisting of augers and a crown on which nozzles are installed, and control equipment. A water clutch is installed on the gearbox spindle. In the reducer spindle, screws and crown, water channels are made, which are connected to each other and to jet nozzles.

EFFECT: increasing the productivity of mining by reducing the volume of opening and development workings, increasing the yield of rock mass per unit of cost.
