FIELD: measuring technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a control device for controlling a reduction-tensile rolling mill for rolling pipes. The device comprises a plurality of rolling stands arranged one after the other in the direction of pipe supply, and at least one wall thickness measuring device on the output side and a control device. The device for measuring the wall thickness on the output side is made with the possibility of measuring the wall thicknesses of pipes coming out of the last rolling stand on the output side. The control device is made with the possibility of obtaining measurement data from a wall thickness measuring device characterizing one or many wall thicknesses on the output side of the pipe coming out of the last rolling stand, determining from the received measurement data one or many wall thicknesses on the input side of the pipe in the state before entering the first rolling cage and controlling one or many rolling stands taking into account certain wall thicknesses on the input side.

EFFECT: control of the wall thickness in the stretch-reducing rolling mill is improved.
