FIELD: glass industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of frosting massive glass products and can be used in the glass industry. The method for frosting massive glass products includes sorting glass semi-finished products, degreasing its surface and applying a stencil to it for decoration from thin copper foil, feeding copper material into a plasma burner for its plasma spraying as a decoration on the surface of the products. When the products cool down and the stencil is removed, copper particles self-exfoliate to form a matte surface in areas that were not covered by the stencil. As a copper material, a copper powder of a fraction less than 224 microns is fed into the plasma burner, with a flow rate of 2.5-3.5 g/sec, and before applying the decoration, the surface of the products is heated by the outgoing flow of plasma-forming gas to 573 K. Plasma spraying is carried out at a plasma torch operating power of 7.5 kW and a plasma-forming gas consumption of 15 l/min.
EFFECT: improving the quality of frosting massive glass products and reducing energy consumption by accelerating the frosting process.
