SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering. When assembling a magnetic core with sequential addition of flat sheet elements, the result is a magnetic core with an ellipsoid cross-section of the rods, which, with the same value of the cross-sectional area of the rods, has smaller dimensions than a magnetic core with a polygonal or circular cross-section. At the same time, due to the preservation of the filling factor of the window of the power windings, the mass of the magnetic core and transformer assembled on its basis and their own heat generation for each configuration of the magnetic core and transformer is minimized, which increases efficiency. The increase in efficiency is also facilitated by the fact that the flat sheet elements in the assembly form a magnetic core without air gaps crossing the magnetic force flows during operation.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of the transformer.
