FIELD: space technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of space technology and can be used to collect water ice on the Moon. The method for developing lunar water ice includes drilling through a layer of lunar soil, placing explosives inside a deposit of lunar water ice, carrying out camouflet blasting with the formation of a cavity. After the formation of a cavity through a drilled well, the upper part of the cavity is cooled by the cold of lunar outer space.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at ensuring the purification of lunar water ice from chemical impurities and mechanical contaminants, as well as accelerating the process of developing lunar water ice.
