FIELD: railway transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a fastening apparatus for a clamp retaining a rail and having a first and a second legs and a part located between said legs, supported by the rail. The fastening apparatus comprises: a base element; a hole in the base element, configured to accommodate a fastening component for securing the fastening apparatus on the underlying base; and a first and a second sides for retaining the clamps extending from the base element, wherein the first side is located at a distance from the second side, defining the space between the sides for the part of the clamp supported by the rail. Each of the first and second sides for retaining the clamp has an upper wall and a lower wall for contact with the clamp, defining a passage for placing one of the first and second legs of the clamp. Each of the first and second legs of the clamp comes into contact with the upper and lower walls for contact with the clamp corresponding to the first and second sides for retaining the clamp when the clamp is moved in a first direction from the initial split position to a conjugated position wherein the part of the clamp supported by the rail presses on the rail. The upper and lower walls, for contact with the clamp, are located at a distance in the first direction so as not to overlap with each other.

EFFECT: apparatus can be cast in a favourable way without using inserts as a result.
