SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to physiotherapy, and can be used for treating osteoarthritis of joints. Magnetic therapy of the joints is performed, and the joints are treated with a medicinal product in the form of an aqueous solution of mineral salts. Magnetophoresis of the affected joints is therein performed as magnetic therapy. A pulse travelling magnetic field with a modulation frequency no more than 110 Hz and a magnetic induction of 15 to 20 mT combined with simultaneous application of the aqueous solution of mineral salts to the joints is used as magnetic emission. A solution of bischofite or a mineral water of a chloride-sulphide-calcium composition with a high content of magnesium ions is used as an aqueous solution of mineral salts. The time of combined exposure of the joint is 15 minutes for the first procedure with a gradual daily increase in the time of exposure up to 30 minutes by the 3rd procedure and a course of treatment of up to 10 procedures.

EFFECT: increase in the effectiveness of physiotherapeutic treatment of osteoarthritis of joints due to the complex impact of magnetic therapy and applications of a solution of mineral salts on the affected joint.
