SUBSTANCE: proposed technical solution relates to vehicle power consumption control methods and can be used in transport industry. Method of forming an energy-efficient track of operated vehicle when it is moving along a motorway consists in performing the following stages: stage of obtaining a first energy-efficient track of an operated vehicle; stage of determining the second vehicle in front of the operated vehicle in the course of its movement on the motorway and obtaining an energy-efficient track of the said second vehicle; stage of formation of the second energy-efficient track of the operated vehicle, based on the speed profile of the operated vehicle and the energy efficiency evaluation of that vehicle when the operated vehicle is driven in accordance with the energy-efficient track of said second vehicle; stage of comparing the obtained second energy-efficient track of the operated vehicle with the first energy-efficient track of the operated vehicle for generating a control signal for assigning the energy-efficient track to operating vehicle; stage of assigning an energy-efficient track to the operating vehicle, wherein the assigned energy-efficient track is selected from the first or second energy-efficient tracks of the operating vehicle.
EFFECT: reduced power consumption of a vehicle during its movement on a motorway, including in a motorcade.
