FIELD: drying technique.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a drying technique with simultaneous entrapment in counter interacting swirling flows and can be used in the food, chemical, pharmaceutical, microbiological and other industries for drying dispersed materials. The vortex dryer contains a spherical body with an upper tangential inlet of a peripheral gas flow with wet material, the body being connected in the lower part by means of a window with a treated material hopper, a lower tangential inlet of the central flow, concurrent with the peripheral one, communicated with a vertical axial cylinder-shaped chamber expanding towards the top, the upper edge of which is located above the plane of the window, and the chamber is equipped with an axial displacer, and an exhaust pipe located in the upper part of the body, and in the middle part of the spherical body, symmetrically to the horizontal axis, an annular window is made over the entire surface, to the edges of which an additional toroidal chamber is connected outside the body, with At the same time, a spherical shell is installed along its height inside and coaxially with the body.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to improve the aerodynamics of the movement of interacting swirling gas suspension flows and to increase the efficiency of trapping the dryer.
