FIELD: procedure of heat-exchange and chemical processes, namely drying of disperse material by eddy flow of disperse material applicable for drying of particles mainly with surface moisture, in particular coals of fine fractions. SUBSTANCE: method is featured by the fact that the formed fluidized layer is repeatedly transformed in a rarefied state, the swirled gas flow after passage of the layer of particles is directed upwards, and the fine particles of the material are subjected to an additional separation. To prevent accumulation of coarse particles in the layer, an additional transfer of particles from top to bottom is accomplished in the region of concentration of coarse particles in the fluidized layer. For realization of this method a swirlchamber is offered featuring by the fact that tapered shelves 3 are installed above and below each of the ring swirlers, inside the swirlchamber is provided with cyclone 3 with the tapered shelf adjoining the cyclone external wall and having a hole providing for flow of the coarse fraction from top to bottom.
