SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology. A method for increasing the resistance of spring barley plants to pathogenic infection includes pre-sowing treatment of seeds with a composition containing an adaptogen. The adaptogen was obtained by sterilizing for 1-2 minutes in 96% ethanol or 1% potassium permanganate solution of conditioned millet seeds and drying them in sterile filter paper, germinating in a wet chamber with sterile filter paper with the addition of sterile water at a temperature of 21 to 25°C for 7 days, followed by drying to a humidity of 14% and grinding at the mill, by carrying out alcohol extraction of the crushed mass at a temperature from 23 to 25°C for 12 hours with the addition of 70% ethanol or 50% isopropyl alcohol to 1 kg of the crushed mass in a ratio of 1: 3, filtering the resulting liquid after extraction through a ceramic filter, followed by its evaporation at a temperature of 25 to 30°C until the sediment is obtained and the addition of sterile water with a volume of 10 liters to the resulting sediment. Beet molasses is added to the composition, where the mass ratio of adaptogen: molasses is 1:1.

EFFECT: method provides an increase in the resistance of spring barley plants to pathogenic infections.
