FIELD: measuring technology.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method relates to the technique of measuring the volumes of chambers of complex configuration in hollow products that have open surfaces of the measured chambers. A method for accurately determining the volumes of complex-shaped cavities, including the installation of a hollow product 2, the overlap of the open surface of its inner chamber 3 with a transparent lid plate 4 equipped with an inlet 5 for a measuring liquid, as which water is chosen, and the installation of a filling volumetric measuring device 6 above it, additionally, all working surfaces are treated with a hydrophobic composition 7, after which the hollow product 2 and the transparent lid plate 4 are matched together, then the entire set of means for measuring the volumes of the chambers together with the hollow product is thermostabilized until the same temperature is reached, and then the filling of the measured chamber 3 of the hollow product 2 begins, after which the final result of measuring the volume of the leaked water is set with a given accuracy in the filling volumetric measuring device 6, fully corresponding to the volume of the measured chamber 3 of the hollow product 2.

EFFECT: simplification of preparation for measurement, improvement of accuracy and stability of measurements, accessibility and simplicity of materials and measuring devices used.
