FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to physical-chemical technology and is intended to simplify evaporation plant and distiller design, improvement of their efficiency and also elimination of splashes, foam and scale. Method is suitable for rationalisation of available methods for distillation of liquid solutions and desalination of sea water. Method for surface distillation of liquids includes heating of liquid layer, its evaporation from the evaporation surface, steam drain from steam space and steam condensation on condensation surface. Steam flow from steam space is sent to condensation surface in the form of capillary brush, at that every capillary passes through mirror of liquid evaporation. Channels of capillaries on top are opened into steam space, and are submerged with their lower ends into condensate. Heat of phase transition from condensate flowing in channels is returned to mirror of evaporated liquid right through the capillary walls. Technical result from application of suggested method consists in the fact that due to direct contact of heater with steam space and mirror of evaporation, the maximum possible heat discharge is provided in the system, at that foam and scale are not produced. Recuperation of heat of distilled vapors in capillaries is simple and efficient. Due to usage of molecular effects at the interface of phases and mediums, design of evaporator for method implementation is simplified.
