FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of general mechanical engineering; it can be used for solving a wide range of engineering tasks as a device and a method for a detachable clamping connection of mated object structures, for example connection to each other of sheets (plates), their attachment to strips and beams parallel to them, as well as end connection of pipes, shells, including those with non-circular cross section. The proposed method for connecting objects is a “radial-wedge joint” with outer and inner location of working wedge surfaces and special shape of profiles of end parts of joined objects that are connected by the proposed devices. A number of the proposed devices is defined by requirements to the strength of object connection. The proposed devices consist of outer and inner paired braces interconnected by threaded elements (pins and bolts) that, when tightened, provide the docking of connected objects and their centering due to the special shape of end parts of objects involved in the docking and paired braces adjacent to them. Generally, the proposed devices are evenly distributed along the entire surface of the object docking, performing the function of fixing and centering elements.
EFFECT: number of milling operations is minimized, technical characteristics of products are improved, weight of object joint structures is reduced.
