FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of power engineering and can be used in designing, e.g., gas turbine plants of both closed and open operating cycles, operating at high boost pressures in bearings and high temperature gradients, as well as generators. Angular contact bearing assembly comprises a shaft rigidly connected with the footpad, a hollow body, installed in the cavity whereof is a sleeve with feed holes for supplying compressed gas to the working gaps of the bearing, and an additional bearing. The shaft is set rotatably in the cavity of the sleeve. The longitudinal axis of the shaft is oriented horizontally, a trunnion set rotatably in the cavity of the sleeve is rigidly fixed on the footpad, wherein the ends of the sleeve are equipped with sealing rings. The body is made with double coaxial walls, wherein the sleeve and the trunnion are placed in the gap between said walls, separated by an insert made of an anti-friction material, and an additional angular contact bearing is installed in the gap between the inner wall of the body and the shaft. Bars made in the form of permanent magnets with alternating tangential oppositely directed magnetisation directions are secured in the lower part of the body, on the surface of the inner wall thereof facing the trunnion, forming a working gap and creating the Halbach magnetic pattern, with bars made in the form of permanent magnets with alternating radial oppositely directed magnetisation directions placed between said bars, wherein the inner wall of the body and the trunnion are made of a material with high magnetic permittivity.
EFFECT: ensured high load-bearing capacity of the angular contact bearing assembly in the working mode with a reduction of friction losses therein and a small weight and size characteristics, reliable start-up of the turbomachine, and increase in the resistance of the rotor to the "half-speed vortex" by means of additional damping of self-excited oscillations due to the installation of sealing rings.
