FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: radial bearing assembly includes hollow body (1), in a cavity of which the sleeve (2), made from segments, and the journal (3), placed with a possibility of rotating in a sleeve cavity (2) is placed. The sleeve segments (2) are made from nonmagnetic material as chute-like extended elements of identical angular length and are separated from each other by wedges (4), made as T-shaped rods, fixed to the housing (1). On the surface of the chute of each segment of the sleeve (2), facing towards the journal (3), made from nonmagnetic material, uniformly along a circle at least two magnetic bars (6, 7) from permanent magnets are located between which the magnetic bar (5), contacting with the bars (6, 7) is placed. The external surface formed by the bars (5, 6, 7), facing towards the journal (3), is made cylindrical with formation of the working clearance (8) with the journal (3) surface. On a surface of the case (1) cavity the elastic gasket (9) with longitudinal corrugations (10) is placed. In volume of segments of the sleeve (2) the system of interconnected channels which is interconnected with branch pipes for supply of compressed air from the external source is made, meanwhile the outlet holes of the system are interconnected with the working clearance (8) through the radial feeding holes (14), passing through the sleeve segments, (2) and the bars (5, 6, 7).

EFFECT: ensuring of high carrying capacity of radial bearing assembly in an operating mode at minimising of friction losses, reliable turbine machine starting, improvement of rotor stability to half-speed vortex and minimising of deformation of clearance in gas static bearing at high boost pressures.
