SYSTEM FOR COOLING ROCKET FUEL AT LAUNCH COMPLEX Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC F17C7/00 B64G5/00

Abstract RU 2772307 C1

FIELD: aerospace technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aerospace technology, as well as to the technology of storage and distribution of gases and liquids. A system for cooling rocket fuel at the launch complex contains a storage tank for rocket fuel, a heat exchanger of rocket fuel cooling, a nitrogen gas bubbler, a gas reducer, a pumping station, a line for nitrogen gas supply, a liquid nitrogen pipeline, a line for rocket fuel refueling, a valve, a nitrogen gas pipeline, a fuel circulation pipeline, a valve, a fuel tank. The system is additionally equipped with a cryogenic refueling tank and an expansion turbine connected to an outlet of the heat exchanger of rocket fuel cooling. An inlet of this heat exchanger is connected to an inner vessel of the cryogenic refueling tank, an outer vessel of which is connected through the gas reducer to the nitrogen gas bubbler.

EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to obtain additional electrical energy generated by an electric generator during the expansion of nitrogen gas in the turbine, evaporated in the heat exchanger of rocket fuel cooling, when rocket fuel is cooled at the launch complex.
