SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a robotics construction toy. The robotics construction toy includes a robotics control unit containing: a case containing connecting elements made with the possibility of a detachable connection of the robotics control unit to interacting elements of the construction toy; a processor containing programmed instructions; a set of input/output ports connected to the processor for communication; a set of separate light emitters arranged in the form of a two-dimensional matrix on the front side of the case. In this case, each of the light emitters is made with the possibility of generation of at least two different indicator states in response to processor instructions. In this case, light emitters are aligned in line with input/output ports, so that each of input/output ports has the associated light emitter. In response to processor instructions, light emitters can generate a machine-readable code encoding data related to the robotics control unit. The machine-readable code may contain instructions for the interaction of the robotics control unit with an external device.
EFFECT: obtaining a robotics construction toy.
