FIELD: mineral processing.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to the field of mineral processing and can be used in the chemical industry, in particular in the technology of flotation concentration of ores to improve the characteristics of foaming compositions (increasing foaming capacity, foam stability and reducing the moisture content of the foam formed by flotation reagents). A method for improving the characteristics of foaming compositions of flotation reagents for flotation concentration of ores includes preparing a solution of a collector of hydrochloric acid amine, adding a blowing agent, mixing the emulsion of reagents and treating the resulting emulsion with ultrasound with a power of 252-420 W and a duration of not more than 150 s. As a blowing agent, triethylene glycol or polyethylene glycol is used in an amount of 20-40% by weight of the collector.
EFFECT: increasing the foaming capacity of foaming compositions and foam stability, reducing the moisture content of the foam.
