METHOD FOR TREATING AND PREVENTING ACUTE RESPIRATORY VIRAL INFECTIONS AND INHALER FOR IMPLEMENTATION THEREOF (VARIANTS) Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61M15/00

Abstract RU 2772633 C1

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely, to a method for treating and preventing acute respiratory viral infections and two variants of implementation of an inhaler. Method includes inhalation therapy with a vapour-air mixture, exercised daily in a constant mode for 24 hours until full recovery. The vapour-air mixture is supplied by means of an inhaler capable of releasing a vapour-air mixture. The breathing temperature is selected 10 to 25°C higher than the temperature of the patient at the time of inhalation. In the first variant, the inhaler comprises a vapour generator and an electric heater. The vapour generator includes a body with a cover made on the upper side thereof, located in the bottom part of the body are a tubular electric heater and an air supply channel coupled with a hole made in the bottom of the body. The inhaler includes a mask with inhalation and exhalation valves, connected by means of a tube with an outlet made in the upper part of the body, and also includes a water supply apparatus consisting of a chamber with an internal float valve and a water supply branch pipe. The chamber is coupled with the body of the vapour generator and has a common bottom and a common wall with the communicating hole in the lower part. Sensors for monitoring and measuring the temperature and moisture content of the vapour-air mixture inhaled by the patient are installed inside the body. The external lateral sides of the body have heat insulation and heating plates, the inhaler is also equipped with a timer. In the second variant, the chamber is connected with the inner cavity of the body of the vapour generator through an inlet by means of a hose or a tube. Sensors for monitoring and measuring the temperature and moisture content of the vapour-air mixture inhaled by the patient are installed inside the body. The body has heat insulation and heating plates on the external lateral sides, the inhaler is also equipped with a timer.

EFFECT: expanded scope of functional capabilities; increase in the duration and continuity of inhalation procedures with a vapour-air mixture; increase in the effectiveness of treatment and increase in the therapeutic effect; provided possibility of changing the moisture content of the inhaled vapour-air mixture and maintaining the set level thereof.
