FIELD: biotechnology; veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary virology and biotechnology, namely to development of a culture inactivated emulsion vaccine of A 2205/GIV strain for early protection against foot-and-mouth disease. Vaccine contains avirulent and purified antigenic material from strain A 2205/G IV of foot-and-mouth disease virus, obtained in suspension transplantable cell line from kidney of newborn Syrian hamster (BHK-21), which is a suspension containing mainly 146S immunogenic component of foot-and-mouth disease virus, oil adjuvant Montanide ISA-206 VG in effective ratios.
EFFECT: vaccine has high immunogenicity and is able to provide early effective protection against the homologous infectious agent circulating in the Northeastern African countries.
