APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING AN ELECTROMAGNET Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC H01F7/18

Abstract RU 2772728 C2

FIELD: magnets.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus for controlling an electromagnet containing a series circuit consisting of an electromagnet winding and a direct voltage source, with two external terminals, connected whereto are a positive and negative power terminals of a first electronic switch and a power relief circuit for power accumulated in the electromagnet winding, consisting of series-connected second electronic switch and storage capacitor, connected in parallel whereto is a discharge resistor wherein the control terminals of the first and second electronic switches are connected to the output terminals of the first and second control pulse former, respectively, the output terminals whereof are connected to the first and second output terminals of the command receiver determining the moments of activation of the first and second electronic switches, respectively. A distinctive feature of the invention is the fact that an increase in versatility is achieved by connecting the terminals of the alternate current diagonal of the rectifier bridge 18, connected to the common point of the diode cathodes and the common point of the anodes whereof are the positive 6 and negative 7 terminals of the first electronic switch 8, respectively, to the terminals 4 and 5 of the series circuit 1. A current sensor is introduced in series with the second electronic switch, controlling the moments of decline of the current to a predetermined small value, and the discharge resistor is connected to the storage capacitor through a third electronic switch, the control terminal whereof is connected to the output terminal of the third control pulse former. Additional input terminals are introduced into the first and second control pulse formers, establishing the moments of deactivation of the first and second electronic switches, connected to the second output terminal of the command receiver and the output terminal of the current sensor, respectively, and the third control pulse former comprises two comparators recording the moments of the voltage on the storage capacitor crossing the upper and lower threshold values and establishing the moments of activation and deactivation, respectively, of the third electronic switch, connected to the output terminals whereof is a trigger.

EFFECT: creation of an apparatus for controlling an electromagnet.
