SUBSTANCE: invention relates to filter modules for gravity-type liquid purification devices intended for use in domestic conditions, in suburban and garden areas for cleaning or post-treatment of liquids, mainly water, for domestic and/or drinking water supply and other household liquids. The filter module consists of a housing filled with filter material, where at least one water inlet hole is made at the top of the housing, and at least one water outlet hole is made at the bottom. The filter module is equipped with a protective element located at the base of the module after the water outlet opening and made in the form of partitions arranged in an ellipse or circumference at a distance from each other from 0.1 to 2 of the width of the partition.
