SUBSTANCE: method of liquid purification by its gravity feed through filtering module from vessel of liquid to be purified to vessel located below for purified water includes feed of liquid to be purified to lower part of filtering module, passage through the latter in direction from below upward and discharge of purified liquid from airtight vessel in the upper part of filtering module by means of siphon vessel. The filter for embodiment of the method has filtering module located in vessel of liquid to be purified; device for discharge of purified liquid made in the form of siphon vessel whose upper part is communicated with airtight hollow for collection of purified liquid in upper part of body and power part is located below the level of supply of liquid to be purified.
