WATER PURIFICATION PLANT Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: water purification technique; purification of natural water in agriculture; final purification of service and domestic runoff; purification of badly contaminated and oil- containing water. SUBSTANCE: water purification plant includes housing divided into chambers. First chamber is used for suspended layer; branch pipe for tangential supply of water to be purified is fitted between bottom and plate made in form of truncated cone; water is fed to suspended layer chamber through deflector. Second chamber is used for housing the centrifugal thin-layer which is mounted above suspended layer chamber on perforated plate; this settler has form of vertical spiral tape. Second chamber is brought in communication with third chamber where secondary centrifugal settler also made in form of spiral tape is located. Filter filled with filter medium is mounted below spiral tape in fourth chamber. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency; improved quality of water purification; improved operating conditions of plant. 4 dwg
