FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of protecting the steering wheel of a vehicle and can be used by car owners to improve the performance of the car. The casing is made of a dense flexible material and is a torus with a cut on the reverse side along the entire perimeter of the circle, while the edges that are closer to the cut are pressed to the center to provide a more reliable clamp for a steering wheel with a small section rim, while the casing has several large cutouts in the intended places where the steering wheel spokes are attached to the rim. The casing material may or may not be stretchable. The casing has several large cutouts needed to wrap around the steering wheel spokes. Maximum protection is provided by the possibility of additional sections of material in places where the spokes of the steering wheel rim are expected to be present and inserts of different sizes for the gaps formed in the case of mounting the casing with a transverse cut.
EFFECT: creation of a universal, easy-to-mount casing of the steering wheel of a vehicle that can be easily installed on most steering wheels of different sizes and protect the surface of the steering wheel of the vehicle from wear to the maximum.
