FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport engineering and can be used to repair wheel sets of locomotives, wagons and other rail transport. The device comprises a fixed frame with longitudinal and transverse guides, a frame mounted on the frame with the ability to move along the guides, a drive mounted on the frame, consisting of an electric motor with a gearbox. The output shaft of the reducer is made double-sided, contains the first and second spikes and is located parallel to the longitudinal guides. The first and second brackets are rigidly fixed on the frame, made with holes coaxial with the output shaft of the gearbox. The device contains the first shaped cutter, the tooth profile of which repeats the profile of the railway wheel, and the second shaped cutter, the tooth profile of which is mirrored in relation to the first one. The cutters are mounted on the output shaft of the gearbox on both sides. The spikes of the output shaft are fixed in the holes of the corresponding brackets with the possibility of rotation.
EFFECT: invention increases the accuracy of processing and the service life of the device.
